Privacy Policy
This page explains what personal data is processed when you visit kaezen.club and when you buy a Kaezen pack on Gumroad. It's written in plain English on purpose — if anything is unclear, email hello@kaezen.club and I'll explain.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is MAISON DIGITAL, a company registered in France under SIRET 938 088 036 00018, with its registered office at 58 rue de Monceau, 75008 Paris, France. Contact for privacy matters: hello@kaezen.club.
2. What we collect, and why
Site analytics (kaezen.club). We use Vercel Web Analytics, our hosting provider's first-party analytics. It does not set cookies on your browser and does not track you across other websites. It records aggregate visit data only — page views, referring site, country (derived from IP, not stored), browser, and device type. We use this to understand which content is useful. No personal identifier is collected or stored, and the data is not sold or shared with third parties beyond Vercel itself, which acts as our processor.
Purchase data (via Gumroad). When you buy a pack, the checkout, payment, invoicing, and download delivery are handled by Gumroad, Inc. on its own infrastructure. Gumroad collects your email address, billing details, payment information, and purchase history as part of completing the sale, and acts as an independent data controller for that processing. Their privacy practices are described at gumroad.com/privacy. We receive a copy of your email address and the products you bought so we can deliver the files, answer support questions, and (if you opted in) email you when new packs drop.
Newsletter opt-in. The Gumroad checkout includes an optional checkbox for "Email me when new packs drop. No other emails." If you check it, your email address is added to a mailing list used only for product-launch announcements. You can unsubscribe anytime from any of those emails, or by emailing us. We don't share or sell the list.
Support and other correspondence. If you reply to a delivery email or contact us, the email thread is retained for as long as needed to handle the request, and afterwards for legal and accounting reasons (see retention below).
3. Cookies
The kaezen.club site itself does not set any cookies. Our analytics provider is cookieless. The Gumroad checkout flow may set its own cookies once you click through to it — those are covered by Gumroad's privacy policy.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Performance of a contract — for purchase processing, file delivery, and customer support related to a purchase.
- Consent — for the optional newsletter (you opt in at checkout, you can withdraw consent anytime).
- Legitimate interest — for aggregate, non-identifying site analytics used to improve the site.
- Legal obligation — for retaining invoice and accounting records as required by French law.
5. Who we share data with
We use a small number of processors and service providers, each operating under their own data agreements:
- Gumroad, Inc. — payment processing, checkout, file delivery, invoicing.
- Vercel Inc. — site hosting and aggregate Web Analytics on kaezen.club.
- Our email provider (the inbox that receives hello@kaezen.club) for handling your support messages.
We do not sell your personal data, and we don't share it with anyone outside of these service providers unless required by law.
6. How long we keep your data
- Purchase records and invoices — retained for the period required by French accounting law (currently 10 years).
- Email/support correspondence — kept while it's relevant; older threads are periodically deleted.
- Newsletter list — until you unsubscribe.
- Aggregate analytics — stored in aggregate form by our analytics provider for up to 12 months and contains no personal identifier.
7. Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it (subject to legal retention requirements), to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL — cnil.fr).

8. International transfers
Two of our processors are based in the United States: Gumroad, Inc. (payment and delivery) and Vercel Inc. (hosting and analytics). When you visit the site or buy a pack, the relevant data is transferred to the United States as part of their processing. Both operate under appropriate transfer safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses), as described in their respective privacy policies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be summarized at the top of the page for at least thirty days after they take effect.
